HCC intern Jada Alexander was recently featured in the July 2026 edition of Cook County Health’s System News, highlighting her summer internship with Cook County Health’s External and Community Affairs team. Through her HCC internship, Jada is gaining hands-on experience in community health initiatives, public health planning, health promotion, and engagement with community partners across Cook County.
The feature also highlights Jada’s work supporting initiatives such as Medicaid and SNAP redetermination events and her growing understanding of how public health organizations and community partners can work together to improve health outcomes. Cook County Health also recognized its partnership with HCC and the role the program plays in developing the next generation of health leaders.
